Aureality

Privacy note

Draft for the private alpha, 2026-10-26. Not yet reviewed by a lawyer. The controller's name will be added before public beta.

Aureality helps you photograph a room, see it in 3D, and sort the things in it. To do that we need your photos. This note explains, in plain words, what we collect and what we do with it.

Who we are

Aureality is currently a personal project run from the Czech Republic by the Aureality team. The person behind it is the data controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and will be named here before the public beta. Contact for anything about your data: your@aureality.eu.

What we collect

What Why Where it is kept How long
Room photos and video you capture To build the 3D model of your room and recognise objects On our own server in the Czech Republic Until you delete them, or your account is deleted
Your room model and object list (names, piles such as Keep / Sell / Donate / Repair / Recycle, notes) So you can come back to your room Same server Until you delete them
Waitlist email address To invite you to the alpha and tell you about launches Cloudflare, which hosts this website (see below) Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it
Basic technical logs (IP address, time, errors) To keep the service safe and working, and to stop abuse Same server, and Cloudflare (see below) Up to 30 days

We do not use advertising trackers, we do not sell your data, and we do not use your photos to train AI models.

AI: who sees your photos

When you tap an object, the relevant photo is sent to Anthropic (the company behind Claude) so its AI can tell you what the object is and suggest what to do with it. Anthropic processes it under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to train on our data by default. Anthropic may keep requests for a limited time for safety and abuse checks.

Some alpha testers may instead be served by an AI model running on our own computer in the Czech Republic. In that case the photo never leaves our hardware.
